THE BCRFA IS PLEASED TO PRESENT THE INSPIRED RESTAURANTS PROGRAM
In June 2016, GO2, the HR Resource for the hospitality industry, published the Cooks’ Labour Market Analysis Report. This report uncovered the serious concerns that BC restaurants were experiencing in recruiting and retaining workers. The Inspired Restaurants program addresses these issues by providing resources and information for restaurants to become more efficient in their operations achieve higher profitability and create a better working environment for their employees. The pilot program for Inspired Restaurants is a unique opportunity for restaurants across British Columbia to participate in a Government funded program and no cost to them. The BCRFA will be working with 100 restaurants that are largely independent operators with various cuisines and ethnicities that are challenged by today’s economy and do not have the resources or capital of the larger, multi unit venues. Participants will be given access to key information that will enhance their business and save them valuable funds that can be redirected into HR practices vital to the proper hiring, training and retaining of their employees. Through the success of this program, we plan to contribute to a more sustainable workplace within the hospitality sector of British Columbia.
