BCRFA members receive free standard listings on www.tourismexchange.com. This site has 3.6 million visitors each year and could be seeing your restaurant listing! Members have the option to upgrade to a Premium Listing at a discounted rate.

Local and Provincial Events

Wine & Dine Thompson/Okanagan

Exceptional value brings hundreds of consumers every year to those restaurants that participate. 2011 was a successful year for those restaurants that took advantage of this event. Over 60 establishments opened their doors to customers, who chose between a $15, $25, and $35 dinner and wine pairing. This wonderful event is exclusively available to members.

Taste of Kelowna

Get front and centre with 4,000 consumers! Taking place at the Kelowna Curling Club, restaurants from the area come to show off their best creations and sell tasting portions to the public. Dishes are sold for one or two tickets (worth a dollar each) and are eligible for a “People’s Choice Award” and a “Judges Choice” This fun day is open to all members of the BCRFA.

Dine Around & Stay in Town Victoria

With over 200 participants in 2011, this event is a great way of beating the 0.05 legislation, as customers can dine out then stay the evening at a local hotel. Dine Around menus are three course fixed menus at $20, $30, or $40 and are paired with a wine suggestion. Stay in Town rates are offered in world-class hotels with accommodation priced at $69, $79, $99, and $129 per room.

BC Restaurant Hall of Fame

Each year, the BCRFA hosts the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame. It is a black tie gala that recognizes those individuals that are dedicated to the industry and have numerous professional and personal accomplishments. The event began in 2005 and since then has inducted over 75 exceptional restaurateurs into their hall of fame, which is open to the public at the Vancouver Community College, downtown campus. As a member of the association, you will receive priority tickets and the chance to network with the best of the industry.

BC Hospitality Foundation Golf Tournament

Founded in 2006 when a wine agent fell ill and needed funds for surgery, the BC Hospitality Foundation has been committed to supporting deserving individuals in the food, beverage and hospitality industries. This fun golf tournament is designed to help those in need, and its a great way to start network with others in the industry.

Kelowna Golf Tournament

Every spring we host the Kelowna Golf Tournament, a great fun day for those who love the game. Exclusively for BCRFA members, this golf tournament is a great way to network with those in the industry, as well as show off your skills on the green!

Nanaimo Golf Tournament

Each fall the Nanaimo Golf Tournament takes place on the Island. In 2010 the event raised money for the BC Hospitality Foundation, helping an individual of the industry in need. This event allows you to benefit from industry networking!
