Sign the petition to support culinary graduates working in BC
The restaurant industry across BC is desperate for qualified chefs.
This petition could help the current labour shortage in the culinary and hospitality industry by adding hundreds of chefs to the labour force.
One solution is to allow accredited private culinary schools and career college students from outside of Canada to remain on to work for a year following graduation – something only the publicly funded schools are permitted to offer their students.
The BC Restaurant & Foodservices Association has been working hard with Hedy Fry, MP Vancouver Centre, to try to move this forward and your support is needed by signing this petition she has initiated to the Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship.
Please take the time to sign it, your signature could help add valuable labour to restaurants across BC.
